Sal's Bakery: A Providence Tradition for Irresistible Baked Goods and Pizza

The pizza is great it has a nice crispy bottom and when you pick up a slice it doesn’t bend and lose all the sauce . Matter of fact, everything there is great including the staff they said to write something so I said the pizza was great. It doesn’t be you lose all the sauce. Matter fact everything there is good even the staff cause they are friendly.

Love Sal’s Bakery! I’ve been in the neighborhood for almost 18 years and I wish I had discovered them earlier! Just a great, reasonably priced, old school bakery. Everything I’ve tried is delicious. My mom who is a great baker and makes awesome wine biscuits, commented on how delicious Sal’s wine biscuits are. Just a few simple ingredients baked with love for sure. Their brownies, chocolate chip cookies, calzones are also equally delicious. My favorite is their simple, sliced white bread and my goodness-Their pizza strips are the best! Simply put it’s just an authentic, old school neighborhood bakery. And the staff is so friendly. It’s refreshing to go into a place like the old days-no apps, just old world business, walk in, exchange a few pleasantries and leave with some delicious food. Wishing you continued success and I hope you stay open forever

Great pizza strips, great calzone (spinach one and the meatball one), great atmosphere, and great service! The sauce was super flavorful and not sweet, and we really enjoyed the little bit of cheese that was sprinkled on even the red slices. Great crust too -- not soggy at all, not too thin, not too thick, just right! It's also huge. You get twice what you get at some other places for the same price. Can't wait to go back!

Read homemade sauce! These are the best pizza strips, period! You instantly realize how bad the sauces they use at other bakeries! They will make them without the parmesan on top if you order in advance as I have a dairy allergy. Still amazing it is in the real sauce!

This is one of my wife's favorite bakeries in Rhode Island. I would hear her tell our kids how she would go to this bakery after school for the Pizza Strip! Nostalgic for sure. Every time we visit Rhode Island this is definitely a stop to stock up to take back to Florida. Pizza strips are amazing, delicious.

Gotta love Sal’s, a solid no frills choice any time of year. Personal favorites are the meatball calzone, the salami provolone and hot pepper calzone, and the pizza strips. Honestly, just close your eyes and ask for a box. Always hits the spot. Thanks, Sal’s

Got to Sal's an hour before closing because of when I get out of work but the pizza was pretty good! Got half a sheet of the red sauce pizza and half a sheet of red sauce pizza with mozzarella on top. Nice lady working in the front and seems like a cool cozy atmosphere :)
